Our Story

I have always had a passion and love for animals, especially dogs. I have been working in the pet care industry since 2018, starting at a doggie daycare and boarding facility, as well as volunteering and fostering for Bullied Breeds Rescue, a non-profit focused on giving breeds with a bad reputation a second chance. I have a background in business, including time spent studying Business & Entrepreneurship at a vocational high school and local community college. I combined my two passions and began walking dogs in the summer of 2021, and the business has been growing ever since! In 2023, I studied through Penn Foster to become a certified dog trainer and really honed into the niche of working with “difficult dogs”. I find that these dogs just need a little bit more patience, some deeper understanding, and to be met where they're at, and I find building relationships with these dogs to be incredibly rewarding.

When building a connection with a dog, I'm focusing on communication and trust, learning the boundaries for each individual dog and what they need from me. With my own dogs and the dogs in my care, I emphasize mental exercise just as much as physical exercise, using enrichment toys like kongs, puzzle toys, and snuffle mats. Often times I am managing multiple dogs with varying temperaments and levels of training, and some with behavioral issues, who aren't familiar with each other. That is why it is imperative that I maintain a structured environment, to keep all dogs calm and content. I'm here for the “he’s not friendly with new people so we can’t leave him with anyone when we go away”, for the dogs that can’t stay at a kennel, for the reactive dogs that not just anyone can walk, for the dogs who need structure, and for the dog that has too much energy for your parents to watch. I have experience working with reactivity, dogs that aren't friendly with new people, dogs with bite records, and special needs pets. I am a balanced trainer and am comfortable and capable of using any training tools you already use with your dog, such as prong collars or e-collars. I am willing to work with you no matter the issue as long as you are honest with me about your dog's history and their behavior.

Meet Mickey- The #1 Assistant

Mickey has been helping his mom run the business from day one! He loves other dogs and people. He is very smart, well-behaved, and intuitive, making him the perfect little helper. He works very hard to tire out the puppies, break the shy dogs out of their shell, and show the new dogs the ropes. Mickey is a Cavalier mix and was born in 2019; he was raised surrounded by German Shepherds and a Malinois, and for a small dog he sure can hold his own. His favorite part of his job is that he gets to go almost everywhere that mom goes. In his free time, he enjoys snuggling with mom, doing tricks, going on adventures, and soliciting attention from strangers with his puppy dog eyes.
